Alright everyone, Go! St Louis is right around the corner (literally since I am at work right now). But anyway, we have been pouring our blood sweat and tears training for this race. Miriam almost lost her leg, and I seem to have left my knee somewhere out there on keebler, it's probably lying in the gutter next to the dead cat, or it got carried off by coyotes, if you see it please let it know that I miss it and look forward to a happy reunion one day.
So like I was saying the big race is right around the corner and everyone has been training hard. After the race when everyone cuts back on their mileage and enjoys some lazy time I would like you to take a few moments to write down some of your favorite memories from training or from the race itself and I will post them here for everyone to read. A paragraph should do it but feel free to write as much as you want.
I look forward to your contributions and I know everyone else is looking forward to them as well.
Stay safe and be healthy!

Hey Patrick and the other Red 9 Runners, I've enjoyed training w/everyone on Saturday mornings. My favorite memory from training would have to be running to the red 9m on the trail. Not really! This is my first year training w/a group and with Cheri and the other's support it was great! The water/powerade drinks were great for training. I met a lot of neat people and I would do it all over again. My favorite part of the Marathon (Go! St. Louis) would have to be Donna putting her hands in Patricks silicon water cup after she went to use the Johnny on the spot and touched the dirty floor to pick up her banana that she laid on the floor momentarily. My other favorite part would have to be the priest who blessed me with Holy Water!! I needed that BIG TIME :-) Here's to the Red 9 Runners!! Debbie :-)
ReplyDeleteBTW, Whomever created the Red 9 Runners logo above was really creative. Good job!
ReplyDeleteWhen I am done in Nashville I will collect my thoughts for a post, but for now I feel I must clarify Debbie's post just a bit. I did use the porta potty, but I did wash my hands and used hand sanitizer after, my banana was on the ground outside the potty, not on the floor. As for Patrick's mini portable urinal, I inquired as to what it was, and when he showed me, I did stick my fingers in. I am sorry Patrick!! But I did wash my hands!
